If you have problems starting MS Excel add-ins or MS Excel starts too slow, it is possible that the toolbar file for Excel is corrupted. The toolbar file contains definitions of custom toolbars in Excel and is not removed when you uninstall MS Office. In this situation, locate the toolbar file and rename it or remove it. Excel will restore the default toolbar.
- for Windows XP: C:\Document and Settings\[USERNAME]\Application Data\Microsoft\Excel\
- for Windows Vista or Windows 7: C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Excel
1. Close Excel.
2. Find the toolbar file (with extension xlb).
3. Remove it.
4. Start the SigmaZone.com add-in (SPC XL, Quantum XL, DOE PRO XL, DFSS Master, …).
Toolbar file names could be Excel.xlb, Excel11.xlb, Excel12.xlb, …, depending on the installed MS Office version(s). Toolbar folder locations differ between various operating system.
